The new SpyderCube from DataColor is often thought of as a tool for setting White Balance, or color balance for your photos in a camera raw editing application like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or Capture One DSLR. While it’s true the SpyderCube can, and should, be used to help guide your color corrections, the real utility lies in its ability to help you correct the brightness and contrast of your camera raw files. In this article, I’ll introduce you to the SpyderCube and propose a workflow you can use to quickly optimize your photos in a raw editing application.
